Mixing Babies And Business™ Changemaker Program [WAITLIST]

Welcome to parent-friendly professional development and connection for people who want to do life and work differently.

If you're a parent struggling with access to business advice, resources and programming or trying to implement 'traditional' advice which isn't very relatable to your daily life – Mixing Babies And Business™ was designed with you in mind.

The Mixing Babies And Business™ Changemaker Program is hosted by me, Amy Lynch, based on my belief that showing up WITH your kids and advocating for your needs in corporate spaces and settings, is an unconventional but highly effective way to invest in yourself, alongside your family.

Traditional programming and experiences won't evolve on their own but that doesn't mean we have to opt out of 'being' in business spaces.

An online group social impact experience focused on:

  • spending time with the ones you love, while investing in yourself
  • navigating the future of work with kids, exploring your options with entrepreneurship, flexible and remote work
  • embodying your values and experimenting with workflows based on your needs
  • showing up in traditional business spaces as a professional AND a parent, with kids as you wish, IRL and online
  • speaking up and getting more comfortable with using your voice and presence, based on your personal and parenting preferences
  • creating opportunities and potential for collaborations in a virtual village
  • advocating for change for yourself and other primary caregivers to experience inclusion and belonging in professional spaces
  • creating impact at the local, grassroots level, with support and guidance, as you wish

WHO IS IT FOR?

Welcome to a growing virtual village of people who believe the future of work includes taking up and creating space for themselves, alongside their families.

Parents (moms AND dads, parents-to-be welcome too!) who are also professionals – employees, creatives, freelancers, consultants, fractional service providers, remote leaders and business owners who want to mix babies and business. All locations around the world welcome.

You desire to design a life that works for you AND your family.

You're motivated by additional needs for your children, the flexibility to participate in experiences on short notice and are trying to build your own support network as a parent and professional. But you also know, this work doesn't need to be done alone.

No longer waiting to be invited – you are self-led and willing to experiment with different ways of 'being' in business spaces.

Wherever you've landed at during this point in your journey – welcome to a place where parenthood and professional development don't have to be mutually exclusive.

THIS IS FOR YOU IF:

🚼📊 You're seeking connection with other like-minded parents, in a safe, supportive and inspiring setting

🚼📊 You want to invest in yourself without sacrificing the needs within your family

🚼📊 You want to show up as you are with your kids without having to direct the activities or be put on the spot to network outside of your comfort zone

🚼📊 You feel the ebbs and flows of life and work and want to go with them to design your own path, instead of following 'traditional' advice

🚼📊 You're a parent with personal and professional goals you'd like to accomplish over the coming year, at a self-led pace

🚼📊 You're comfortable participating within an online community and learning environment

🚼📊 You'd like to create more visibility for yourself, your professional profile and current projects in order to build momentum and create new opportunities

🚼📊 You understand everyone's experience is unique and are committed to respecting others and acting with integrity when engaging within the Mixing Babies And Business™ Changemaker Program and community

THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF:

⛔️ You're not a parent or your kids are no longer under the age of 16.
I'm sure you're a lovely person but this is a program solely for parents of newborns, toddlers, preschool and school age kids!

⛔️ You don't want to explore mixing babies and business to advocate for your needs and create positive changes for yourself and others along the way.
There are many books, resources, programs, services, podcasts and social media channels about doing business (without kids). This program is not designed for you if you're seeking conventional and traditional advice.

⛔️ You're seeking 1:1 ongoing coaching for yourself and your family.
I do not refer to myself as a coach – I am a creative professional and parent of three kids who became an accidental activist, creating future of work resources to help other parents and their families navigating corporate spaces and experiences. This is a 'done with you' group online program delivered over six weeks, based on my own lived experiences, guidance, resources and support, with the opportunity for you to connect with like-minded parents during this stage of your parenthood and professional journey.

⛔️ You're looking for another space to sell, promote and market your services.
This is not the online space for you! It is prohibited to engage in promotion, advertising, marketing and selling of any kind – this is a safe space, curated for parents seeking to show up in business spaces, settings and experiences alongside their kids. We will be focusing on advocacy, community, creativity, mindset, rituals, routines and resources to cultivate a sense of belonging, inclusion, safety and accessibility, while allowing for you to expand your professional network and grow your career.

⛔️ You're waiting for the 'right' moment to show up.
Progress over perfection is what I encourage we all practice, with kindness, self-compassion, starting small and showing up as we are, at the core of this community and social impact program experience.

⛔️ You're not committed to showing up with respect for others, to do no harm, for others within the Mixing Babies And Business™ community.
I'm committed to cultivating a safe online space, where everyone can show up with the understanding they will be treated well and with integrity.

⛔️ You're seeking additional free advice or resources.
You can download existing Mixing Babies And Business™ free resources for parents, including a Remote Work With Kids: Time Blocking Made Easy Template, Babies + Biz Mini Guide To Navigating The Corporate Jungle (With Kids) and almost 100 mini episodes of the Mixing Babies And Business™ Podcast through Seasons 1–6.

WHAT ABOUT RESULTS?

This is a program designed to mentor, support and guide parents who are open to doing things differently, listening to others' lived experiences, implementing and experimenting with what works for them and their family.

I'm not a coach, this isn't a passive course and I don't do one-size-fits-all advice!

My professional background includes two decades working in public relations, marketing, events and media, spanning the education and training, technology, arts and creative sectors. Scroll down for a professional biography and testimonials on my social impact work below.

During this time, I've been fortunate to participate in startup, impact, entrepreneurship and other personal and professional development programs, courses and masterminds. Between in person, hybrid and online, I've been able to test out what works for myself (and later, as a parent alongside my kids).

I'm proud of the small part my family and I have played in creating positive progress since 2016:

  • 🚼 Baby change facilities installed in startup spaces
  • 👀 Stages stood on and spoken from, while babywearing and/or breastfeeding
  • 📊 Business events hosted in startup and social innovation spaces while babies, toddlers and school age kids explored pop-up play areas
  • 🔊 Podcasts recorded during lunch, naptime, school and playtime windows, edited and released from my home studio (Seasons 1–6 streaming now)
  • 💸 Seasonal and event sponsorships secured to cover basic operations to produce low-to-no-cost entrepreneurship resources for parents
  • 📣 Representatives from all levels of Canadian government met and spoken with as a changemaker focused on creating safe spaces for parents and their families, through StartupGov's programming

Learn more about how all of this got started when I began bringing my first kid into business settings back in 2016 when I first became a parent, in this bonus solo episode of the Mixing Babies And Business™ Podcast: 089 | Becoming an activist and social changemaker (and how you can too) with Amy Lynch

YOUR CHANGEMAKER PROGRAM LEAD: AMY LYNCH

FOUNDER | EVENT + PODCAST HOST
MIXING BABIES AND BUSINESS™

Hi, I'm Amy and I believe everyone deserves to design a life that works for them and their family.

I've worked in contract, flexible and remote roles spanning the business, technology, education, arts and creative industries, as both an employee and a freelance contractor in Canada, Australia, Ireland and England over the past two decades. I'm a mum of three Irish-Canadian kids and started working remotely in 2014 to have more location freedom.

Who knew bringing my babies into biz settings and events when I became a parent overseas–blogging and posting about it on social media–would lead to all of this!? I've been bringing my children into business settings since becoming a parent in 2016 and after getting frustrated by a lack of inclusive corporate spaces and programming for primary caregivers, started producing parent-friendly professional development events, digital resources and news.

My flexible work movement has been named one of Canada's Top 100 Recovery Projects in 2020 by Future of Good, a Startup Canada Community and Ecosystem Partner since 2021 and I've spoken on virtual, hybrid and in person stages (with and without my kids) over the years for CreativeMornings, Running Remote Conference, Impact Hub, Women's Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub and Digital Main Street.

No matter how you would like to go about mixing babies and business, I hope you're able to find what you're looking for through this social impact movement and virtual village of parents navigating the future of work.

Sending you positive vibes and parenthood solidarity. ✨💜
